| In the beginning of April in Uzbekistan, on the initiative of the Uzbekistan Society for the Protection of Birds (UzSPB), the International Bird Day, the oldest children's ecological event, was celebrated for the 15th time. The history of the Bird Day dates back to 1894, when this event was first celebrated in the United States. In our country, this ecological date has been celebrated annually since 2007. On this Bird Day, UzSPB managed to draw attention of more than 1,140 people, including over 390 children, to the bird-heralds of spring living in our neighborhood. Educational activities in honor of the Bird Day in 6 regions of Uzbekistan reached 17 schools, 2 academic lyceums and 5 universities. Read more>> |
