UzSPB offices appeared after student ornithological clubs had been opened. Hereupon in November 2008 and February 2009 the members of clubs and teachers, who are also UzSPB members, made a request to UzSPB director to open UzSPB youth branches.

In March 1, 2009, this initiative was considered during the general meeting of UzSPB members and approved by all participants. By UzSPB order from April 22, 2009 three regional offices of UzSPB were opened. A.R Djaborov, the head of zoology department of Samarkand State University, was appointed as a chairman of Samarkand regional UzSPB office. The teacher of zoology at the department of Bukhara State University Xolboev F.R was appointed as a chairman of Bukhara regional UzSPB office. The assistant of ecology and physiology department of Karakalpakstan State University Ametov Ya.E. was appointed as a chairman of UzSPB office in Karakalpakstan.

Extension of UzSPB structure and the opening of regional offices will promote UzSPB more effective work and help join efforts of both ornithologists and students from different regions of Uzbekistan. After obtaining the official status, the UzSPB offices can propose nature-conservative initiatives to the regional government and get support from local partners.
