COLLABORATION WITH INTERNATIONAL FUND FOR SAVING THE ARAL SEA (IFAS)

In July 22, 2008, the meeting of Executive Director of UzSPB, Kashkarov R.D. and Head of Uzbekistan Agency of International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (IFAS) Buranov U.K., took place. During the meeting an agreement of cooperation between International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (IFAS) and Uzbekistan Society for the Protection of Birds (UzSPB) was signed.

Under arrangement Uzbekistan Agency of IFAS in 2008-2009 granted to UzSPB 3200000 sums. These funds were used for ornithological monitoring of wetlands in Priaralie, for student ornithological trainings, for publishing of poster "100 birds of Uzbekistan" and annual UzSPB newsletter.

In May 11, 2009, IFAS Agency in Uzbekistan transferred on UzSPB account 2350000 sums. These funds will be used for spring ornithological monitoring in South Pryaralie laying emphasis on breeding and endangered species.
