UzSPB MISSION

In January 29, 2009 meeting of UzSPB Executive Committee and UzSPB staff took place. The purpose of the meeting was UzSPB five-year policy design. UzSPB is at the new stage of its work today. It consists in arrangements for identified IBAs protection. On this stage it is necessary to determine what UzSPB should deal with in a future. On the meeting UzSPB mission was formulated: "Conservation birds as indicators of environment, their habitats and other components of biodiversity of Uzbekistan by means of nature-conservative initiatives collaborating with state organizations, NGOs and local communities. Increase potential of ornithologists, train new specialists for nature conservation activity toward this end".
